Abstract:

Full text of MNL contribution: New mutations: Platinum. One almost albino mouse was observed in a litter of AKD2Fl hybrids in August 1964. At maturity it had pink eyes, a coat that was a shade darker than albino, and had a lustre or sheen. Breeding tests reveal that it carried a mutant allele at the albino locus. Homozygotes are lighter than ce and have pink eyes. Heterozygotes (with c) are intermediate between the homozygotes and albino. Suggested symbol is cP.
