Abstract:

Full text of MNL contribution: New Mutants: Dilution-Peru, provisional symbol dp, arose in descendants of a cross between CBA/FaCam and a Peru-Harland female. It is a fully penetrant recessive; the phenotype, in combination with AA and aeae, is very similar to misty but nearer to black. It is not allelic with ln, d, b and p, and is unlike all dilution factors described in BLM 2. It has no belly-spot or other white areas typical of misty, but linkage with b is being tested. Somewhat similar to descriptions of colour in ep, le, pe and tp, but fertility and lactation of dpdp is good. Allelism with mr will be tested, and then the mutant discontinued.
