Abstract:

Full text of MNL contribution: New Mutations and Enzyme Variants: 1. Ashen (ash) is a recessive mutation that arose in strain C3H/DiSn at F89 in 1975. The coat color of ashen mice mimics that of d and ln but allele tests are negative. In a linkage test with Mod-1 3 crossovers have occurred in 36 chromosomes tested showing that ash is on Chr 9 about 9 units from Mod-1. (Lane and Womack)
