Abstract:

Full text of MNL contribution: B. Research news. 1 . Two new Mi-series alleles. A. Microphthalmia - Oak Ridge, Mior. In an earlier issue (MNL 31) we reported a new dominant mutation that bore certain resemblances to mi and Miwh. The provisional symbol Mior was proposed, should allelism tests prove positive. The combination Mior/mi has now been made and partially tested. Mior/mi resembles Mior/Mior in that it is white and appears to be eyeless; all animals so far observed are toothless. Males are fertile. The cross Mior/mi male x +/+ female has yielded no wild type in about 30 young observed to date. (Stelzner).
