Abstract:
Full text of MNL contribution: Maroon - allele of silver? A recessive diluter of eye and coat colour appeared in generation 12 of the lactation stock. Eyes are always colourless at birth, but darker to rich maroon. The coat colour varies from near normal to extreme pallid, even among litter-mates, and darkens with age. The underfur and isolated hairs are often silvered. Proved non-allelic with d, ln, p, pa, and ru, and interacts with si in the F1. F2's are to be raised.
