Transgene
description
Transgene Type: Transgenic (random, expressed)
Mutation: Insertion
This transgene consists of the coding region of the mouse Eda-A1 isoform inserted between TRE/PminCMV promoter and SV40 poly A region. The tetracycline-controlled transactivator (tTA) binds to TRE and activates transcription. Expression of Eda is repressed by the addition of doxicycline and is expressed in doxicyclineÕs absence. The receptor for the Eda-A1 isoform is Edar. (J:86628)
