Transgene
description
Transgene Type: Transgenic (random, expressed)
Mutation: Insertion
This transgene consists of a 1.8kb fragment of the rat Eno2 promoter, an SV40 intron, a poly A signal sequence, and a modified tetracycline transactivator cDNA. (J:92225)

Carrying this Mutation: Mouse Strains: 1 strain available      Cell Lines: 0 lines available
Notes B6.Cg-TgN(Eno2tTA)5021Nes mice selectively express tTA at high levels in the striatum and cerebellum. When these transgenic mice are mated to a second transgenic strain which carries a gene of interest under the regulation of a tetracycline-responsive promoter element (TRE), expression of the target gene in the bitransgenic offspring may be induced in those tissues where tTA is expressed by the withdrawal of the tetracycline analog, doxycycline (dox).
