Notes |
B6.Cg-TgN(Eno2tTA)5021Nes mice selectively express tTA at high levels in the striatum and cerebellum. When these transgenic mice are mated to a second transgenic strain which carries a gene of interest under the regulation of a tetracycline-responsive promoter element (TRE), expression of the target gene in the bitransgenic offspring may be induced in those tissues where tTA is expressed by the withdrawal of the tetracycline analog, doxycycline (dox).
