  The transgene is composed of 3.7 kb of human SFTPC promoter, a reverse tetracycline responsive transactivator gene (rt-TA), and a 0.45 kb SV40 polyadenylation signal. Transgene expression was confirmed by RT-PCR analysis. The human SFTPC promoter is active in respiratory epithelial cells. (J:61736)
