Gt(ROSA)26Sortm1.1(rtTA,tetO-cre)Bkmn - Nervous System
Recombinase Activity Detail
Allele Information
gene trap ROSA 26, Philippe Soriano; targeted mutation 1.1, Cristina M Backman
Driver: Gt(ROSA)26Sor
Type: Targeted (Inducible, Recombinase, Transactivator)
Inducer: induced by doxycycline
Synonym: R26rtTA-TRECre
Molecular description: A targeting vector was generated that contained 5 + 3' homology arms to the first intron of the Gt(ROSA)26Sor locus, a cassette containing a splice acceptor, the improved rtTA-M2 element followed by a human TP53 intron and in opposite orientation, the tet-response element TRE-tight promoter driving a cre coding sequence (tetO-cre). The vector also contained an FRT-flanked neo selection cassette. Homologous recombination was done in R1 ES cells. Germline mice were produced and subsequently crossed to Flpedeleter mice to delete the neo cassette.
