Molecular description: The Dlx5/6-FLPe transgene was designed with the intergenic enhancer region between the mouse Dlx5 and Dlx6 (id6/id5, mI56i) locus together with a beta-globin basal promoter, a chimeric intron containing a human _-globin splice donator site and IgHC variable region splice acceptor site, a FLPe site-specific recombinase with Myc tag (FLPeMyc) sequence, and SV40 early mRNA polyadenylation signal cassette. This transgene was microinjected into FVB/N mouse cells. Mice from founder line 39 were mated with outbred Swiss Webster mice for many generations.
