Tg(UBC-cre/ERT2)1Ejb - Nervous System
Recombinase Activity Detail
Allele Information
Allele:
Tg(UBC-cre/ERT2)1Ejb
transgene insertion 1, Eric J Brown
Driver: UBC
Type: Transgenic (Cre/Flp)
Inducer: induced by tamoxifen
Synonym: Cre-ER, Cre-ERT2, CreT2, Tg(UBC-cre)1Ejb, Tg(UBC-cre/ESR1)1Ejb, Ubc-cre, Ubc-creER, Ubc-cre/ERT2, UBC-CreERt2
Molecular description: This Cre-ERT2 transgenic mouse line was generated via lentitransgenesis; a self-inactivating lentiviral vector was designed with the human ubiquitin C (UBC) promoter sequence upstream of a Cre-ERT2 fusion gene (Cre recombinase fused to a G400V/M543A/L544A triple mutation of the human estrogen receptor ligand binding domain). Cre-ERT2-expressing lentivirus were microinjected into the perivitelline space of one-cell zygotes (129SvEv;C57BL/6 mixed genetic background). Mice display tamoxifen-inducible Cre activity in all tissue types.
