Molecular description: This transgene consists of a 5.8 kb fragment of the rat Nes promoter and a 1.8 kb fragment of the second intron of Nes driving expression of a tamoxifen-inducible form of cre recombinase followed by an SV40 poly A sequence. This line show tamoxifen-inducible Cre activity in the developing nervous system and no Cre activity in the absence of tamoxifen.
