Molecular description: This transgene consists of a 6.5 kb genomic fragment upstream of the murine Pax6 gene, an nlsCre, an IRES, EGFP, and a polyadenylation signal. The Pax6 promoter fragment drives expression of Cre and GFP in the surface ectoderm, developing lens, cornea, and pancreas in transgenic mice.
