Tg(Mpz-cre/ERT2)2Ueli - Nervous System
Recombinase Activity Detail
Allele Information
Allele:
Tg(Mpz-cre/ERT2)2Ueli
transgene insertion 2, Ueli Suter
Driver: Mpz
Type: Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase)
Inducer: induced by tamoxifen
Synonym: P0-CreERT2, P0Cx-CreERT2, Tg(Mpz-cre/ESR1)2Ueli
Molecular description: 1.1 kb of rat Mpz promoter sequences controls expression of 350 bp from the 5' untranslated region of the human GJB1 gene and a cre-ESR1 cassette in Schwann cells. The GJB1 region includes exon 1, intron 1, and exon 2. The human ESR1 sequence is mutated at G400V, M543A, and L540A in the ligand binding domain to allow activation by 4-hydroxytamoxifen (OHT) and ICI 182,780.
