• Mutation details: A 310 kb YAC containing the entire mouse Pmp22 gene and at least 60 kb and 90 kb of upstream and downstream sequences, respectively, was used as the transgene. Three lines were created (Jdelta42, My39 and My41) with My41 selected as the representative line as it is the only one with myelination defects. (J:76795)

Notes

Transgenic offspring of founder My41 developed unstable gait and progressive hind limb weakness by 3 weeks of age. Most animals were sacrificed at 5 months.
