Homozygous null mice are viable and fertile. Homozygotes for one null allele display impaired organic anion transport in the blood-brain and blood-cerebrospinal fluid barriers and kidney. Homozygotes for a second null allele display hypoalgesia and abnormal PGE2 physiology.
