Mice homozygous for a conditional allele activated in nerve cells exhibit reduced mushroom spine density, increased AMPAR-mediated EPSCs with increased surface AMPAR receptors, reduced freezing in response to context or tone conditioned stimulus, reduced investigation of a novel stranger, and impaired spartial working memory.
