PCR analysis using microsatellite DNA polymorphic markers was preformed in (C57BL/6J x RF/J)F1 animals. Allelic losses were detected in 21/47 gamma-radiation induced thymic lymphomas. Analysis of markers located on six other chromosomes as well as on the proximal region of mouse Chromosome 4 indicated the existance of a tumor suppressor gene region (Tlsr1) on mouse Chromosome 4 of about 0.6 cM between the makers D4Wsm1 and D4Mit9. Additionally, a more distal tumor suppressor gene region (Tlsr2) was found centered at D4Mit54. From these data the following order of loci was determined on mouse Chromosome 4: D4Mit50, D4Mit17, D4Wsm1, Tlsr1, D4Mit9, D4Mit205, D4Mit12, Tlsr2, D4Mit54, D4Mit13.
