  Of the congenic strains used to confirm linkage, in B10.129(21M)/Sn recombination occurred between Gpi1 and Saa1 and between p and c and in 129/Sv-c⁺ p⁺ and SJL/Mp-c⁺ p⁺ recombination occurred between Tam1 and p.

  A (C3H/HeJ-p^J x IS/Cam)F1 x C3H/HeJ-p^J backcross was used to order loci around Saa1 on mouse Chromosome 7. From a total of 139 progeny the order of loci is: Gpi1 - 5.0 +/- 1.9 cM - Pepd - 4.3 +/- 1.7 cM - Tam1 - 1.9 +/- 1.2 cM - Saa1 - 3.8 +/- 1.6 cM- p.
