    Somatic cell hybrid EV1-5 contains the mouse X Chromosome as its only mouse chromosome and is derived by fusion of Chinese hamster line E36 with mouse cells. Southern analysis of DNA from hybrid EV1-5 was used to indicate a positive correlation of the Plp1 cDNA probe, pLP1, with the mouse X Chromosome.
