Notes
  • Reference
Authors use Dmd, the human equivalent to mdx in mouse.
  • Experiment
A complete correlation between F8a and the central region of the X Chromosome was observed in 17 mice (C57BL/6J x M. spretus backcross) with recombinations at different regions of the X Chromosome. In refined experiments 10 of the 11 known recombinants between Cf8 and the proximal marker Cf9 or the distal marker Dmd, could be typed for F8a. All 10 of these recombinants were concordant for their Cf8 and F8a typing supporting the tight linkage of these two loci on the X Chromosome.
