    Htf9a and Hft9c are arranged in tandem as divergent genes over approximately 12kb of genomic DNA. The loci for these genes were identified by probes mapping to the left (Hft9a) and to the right (Htf9c) of Htf9 CpG rich region. Htf9a transcribes to the left and Htf9c to the right.
