• Experiment
  Congenic strains B6.C-H-8^c and B10.D2(57N)/Sn that carry donor alleles from BALB/cBy and DBA/2J, respectively, for genes Np, H-8, Myhca, and Tcra, were tested for amd alleles. The B6.C-H-8^c strain carries the host C57BL/6J resistant allele for amd and the B10.D2(57N)/Sn strain carries the donor DBA/2J susceptibility allele for amd indicating that amd is outside the Np - Myhca segment of Chromosome 14.
  
  Note: The 1999 Chromosome 14 Committee Report does not include the amd locus based on independent analysis of this data which suggests it may not be present on Chromosome 14 (Rosemary Elliott, personal communication).
