    Hybrids were from fusion of E36 Chinese hamster cells with mouse cells from BALB/c, NFS.Akv-2 and A/HeJ. Digested DNA was probed on Southern blots for gene Csfmr using human clone pSM7C. DNA was also typed for Mbp by Southern blot analysis. Csfmr and Mbpwere completely concordant in the hybrids thus confirming the assignment of both of these genes to Chromosome 18.
