    A genome-wide ENU mutagenesis screening program mapped Fer (ferris) and Dfp2 (dark foot pads 2) to an interval on mouse Chromosome 4 between 0 cM and D4Mit214 (17.9 cM). ENU-mutagenized BALB/c males were crossed to C3H/HeN females. F1 animals were backcrossed to C3H/HeN and screened for 229 CA repeat markers spaced approximately 20 cM apart.
