Notes

Control of serum gp70 production is believed to be under complex control. The high serum gp70 phenotype was observed in congenic lines B10.D2-H2d and B10.OL-H2o1 compared to 12 other C57BL/10-derived H2 congenics. This observation mapped the Sgp1 locus to approximately 19 cM on mouse Chromosome 17. Sgp1 is believed to be closely linked to the H2 locus, but residing outside of it. Sgp1 influences serum gp70 concentrations and gp70 production after lipopolysaccharide (LPS) stimulation.
