Notes
  • Experiment
BALB/cByJnob males were crossed to normal C57BL/6J females and the F1 females were backcrossed to BALB/cByJ nob resulting in 469 mice. BALB/cByJ nob were mated to SPRET/Ei (Mus spretus) males and the F1s were backcrossed to BALB/cByJ males resultingin 303 mice. These mice were informative in providing the following order of genes on the mouse X Chromosome. DXMit55 - DXMit54 - DXMit103 - DXMit85 - DXMit52 - Nyx - UL107 - DXMit139 - DXMit72 - Ube1x. Nyx was identified using the Nob allele and was nonrecombinatant in both crosses with DNA marker UL107.
