    The authors analyzed the sequence of the major histocompatibility complex gene cluster in the class III region on mouse Chromosome 17. The order and distance between the markers in this region was determined to be: class I - 5'- C2 - 3' - 0.641kb - 5'- H2-Bf - 3', 3'- Rdbp - 5' - 0.302kb - 5'- Skiv2l - 3' - 0.123kb - 3'- Dom3z - 5' - 0.144kb - 5'- Stk19 - 3' - 0.533kb - 5'- Slp - 3' - 4.818kb - 5'- Cyp21a1 - 3', Tnxa - 5.261kb - Skiv2l-ps1 - 21.585kb - Stk19-ps1 - 0.585kb - 5'- C4 - 3' - 6.232kb - Cyp21a2-ps( replaces EG632302), 3'- Tnxb - 5' - class II. The order of the markers is the same as in human with the exception being the absence of the Skiv2l-ps1 pseudogene in the human region.
