Notes
  • Experiment
    A series of BAC ad YAC clones were aligned to create a physical map of the Lpsd (endotoxin-unresponsive) phenotypic region. Comparing the physical map with backcross data indicates a 2.6 Mb region bound by markers B and CA83.3 representing the maximum limits of locus confinement. Within this region, a 1.2 Mb "zero recombination region" is defined by backcross data. Tlr4 the only complete gene identified by sequencing with in the 2.6 Mb region, was anticipated to be the responsible gene. Such was provento be the case in later publications. The order of regional loci reported here is: L22T7 - D4Mit325 - L22SP6 - O12T7 - CA25.5 - D4Mit25 - B6T7 - C8SP6 - D4Mit178 - F - B6SP6 - (A, D, E) - I16T7 - Il6SP6 - F15SP6 - G - O21SP6 - N19T7 - CA7.15 - CA178.8 - CA7.1 - CA7.3 - CA7.2 - J14SP6 - CA7.4 - CA7.7 - CA7.6 - D4Mit7 - B5T7 - N15SP6 - B22SP6 - CA7.13 - CA7.11 - (CA7.5, CA7.12, CA7.10) - O1T7 - (CA7.14, CCA7.17, CA7.18) - H9SP6 - D24SP6 - CAH9.3 - K4SP6 - D4Mit132 - KAT7 - D4Mit183 - CA83.3. The 5' portionof Pappa was found in the proximal portion of the 2.6 Mb region, transcribed in the opposite direction of Tlr4.
