  • Experiment
MUT mice derived from a feral population of mice in Mutten Switzerland, have high copy number long-range repeat clusters in the D1Lub1 region of mouse Chromosome 1. In order to determine the boundries of a spontaneous deletion (D1Lub1MUT-del, authors tested for the presence/absence of a number of markers in the 50.3 to 58.7 cM region of mouse Chromosome 1. Both MUT/MUT and deletion strains were tested. None of the tested markers were found to be deleted (D1Mit44, D1Mit8, D1Mit53, Chrng, D1Mit50, D1Mit51, Sp100, Sag, D1Mit48, D1Mit10, D1Mit11). The markers closest to the D1Lub1 cluster deletion were D1Mit50 and D1Mit51. D1Lub1 is noted to be at 53.1 cM.
