Notes
  • Experiment
The authors conducted an interval mapping study designed to search for and measure the effects of quantitative traits on directional asymmetry (DA) in (LG/J x SM/J)F2 (large x small) animals. Ten sets of mandibular bone measurements were assessed and analyzed to determine putative associated quantitative trait loci. Significant correlation of DA was found with mouse Chromosome 15, with four QTL markers detected -- two co-localizing with D15Mit5 (Daq12, Daq13), one 14 cM distal to D15Mit5 (Daq14), and one 26 cM distal to D15Mit42 (Daq15).
