Test Description: The rotarod assay is used to measure motor coordination. Mice are given 4 consecutive trials with a maximum trial length of 5 minutes. The animal is place on top of an accelerating rod that increases in speed from 0 to 40 rpm over the length of the trial. The time spent on the rotarod (sec) is plotted over trials.
