Mutation details: A bacterial lacZ gene was inserted into the gene such that the endogenous gene promoter drives expression of beta-galactosidase. RNA transcripts are detectable in all tissues analyzed. LacZ expression was detected in almost all tissues and organs examined. In most organs, staining was observed in blood vessels. LacZ expression was not detected in bone marrow.
