Mutation details: A transgenic construct containing the human, superoxide dismutase 2, mitochondrial gene under the control of the mouse myosin, heavy polypeptide 6, cardiac muscle, alpha, promoter and a polyadenylation sequence (550-bp fragment of the rat insulin II gene) was co-injected with a tyrosinase minigene where tyrosinase is under the control of the tyrosinase promoter, commonly referred to as TyBs into fertilized FVB mouse eggs. Founder line 3 was subsequently established. (J:106815, J:152215)
