Insertion |

|
Mutation details: This transgene consists of a protein-coding region of glucose-6-phosphatase, catalytic, 2, G6pc2, cloned from the murine NIT-1insulinoma cell line under the control of a 1.8-kb fragment encoding nucleotides -1,903 through -39 of the 5' flanking sequence of the MHC Class II gene, H2-Ea (k allele). Expression of G6pc2 was verified using RT-PCR. Expression levels are low, but sufficient to prevent development of G6pc2-specific T cells in thymus. (J:117352)
