Mutation details: A transgenic vector was designed to carry the full-length Clockdelta19 mutant gene downstream of a tetracycline-responsive promoter (TRE; tetO). Crossing these mice with mice expressing the tTA or reverse tetracycline-controlled transactivator protein under control of tissue-specific promoters, transgene expression can be regulated in appropriate tissues in the offspring with administration of the tet analog doxycycline.
