Mutation: | |
Insertion |
| |
|
Mutation details: The Camk2a promoter drives the expression of a truncated human DISC1 open reading frame that produces amino acids 1 through 597. This truncated protein is thought to function as a dominant negative. The transgene is expressed preferentially in neonatal stages, especially in pyramidal neurons of the dentate gyrus, and does not interfere with endogenous gene expression from Disc1. This is the low expressing line. (J:124683)
