Transgene description |

Transgene
Type: | |
Transgenic (random, expressed) |
|
Mutation: | |
Insertion |
| |
|
Mutation details: A 14.5 kb fragment of human genomic DNA containing the entire SOD1 gene, including its regulatory sequences, was used for microinjection into fertilized eggs. Line 51 contains 4-5 copies of the transgene and expresses 3-5-fold more superoxide dismutase 1in the brain than non-transgenic mice. (J:96742)
