Mutation details: A targeting vector was designed to insert an IRES-cre-ER-neo into exon 4. This insertion resulted in the loss of the protein kinase A phosphorylation site (S256), but the putative apical localization signal remained. RT-PCR demonstrates no expression for the downstream segment of exon 4, however, transcript for the upstream portion including cre recombinase, was detected. (J:121445)
