Mutation details: This Cre-ERT2 transgenic mouse line was generated via lentitransgenesis; a self-inactivating lentiviral vector was designed with the human ubiquitin C (UBC) promoter sequence upstream of a Cre-ERT2 fusion gene (Cre recombinase fused to a G400V/M543A/L544A triple mutation of the human estrogen receptor ligand binding domain). Cre-ERT2-expressing lentivirus were microinjected into the perivitelline space of one-cell zygotes (129SvEv;C57BL/6 mixed genetic background). Mice display tamoxifen-inducible Cre activity in all tissue types. (J:123200)
