Transgene description |
|
Transgene
Type: | |
Transgenic (random, expressed) |
|
Mutation: | |
Insertion |
| |
|
Mutation details: The transgenic construct was composed of the rat insulin II promoter and the 3.5 kb cDNA fragment containing the entire mouse Nos2 gene coding region with the SV40 intron/polyadenylation signal ligated to it. Line 31 was subsequently established. Western blot analysis shows expression of Nos2 in pancreatic islets, but nowhere else. (J:45520)

Notes |
J:116040 uses transgenic Nos2 mice with no identification of the line. The two lines created in J:45520 are similar, with line 40 having a more severe phenotype. Assumption was made that line 40 was used subsequently for this reason. rpb 05/01/1968
