Mutation details: Seven copies of the tetracycline responsive element and the CMV minimal promotor were used to drive expression of a dominant-negative mutant BMPR2. The BMPR2 mutation is insertion of a T at base 504 in the kinase (4th) domain of the protein, resulting in a premature stop 18 amino acids into the kinase domain. These transgenic mice were crossed to Tg(Tagln-rtTA)E1Jwst mice to obtain mice with inducible, muscle-specific expression of dominant negative BMPR2. (J:98898)
