Insertion |

Mutation details: A single loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 2 and a floxed hygromycin resistance cassette was inserted in intron 3. The hygromycin resistance cassette was then selectively excised from correctly targeted ES cells by transient transfection with a cre-expression vector. Exons 2 and 3 were flanked by loxP sites in the resulting ES cells. Heterozygous and homozygous mice carrying this gene in the germline were indistinguishable from wild-type mice. (J:42997, J:101729)
