Mutation details: A targeting vector was constructed to flank exon 8 with loxP sites. A neomycin selection cassette was placed downstream of exon 8, within the floxed sequence. Gene expression was demonstrated to be highly variable, ranging from 10-95% of normal, with the average reduction being 65%. Immunohistochemical analysis demonstrated that protein levels were variably reduced. (J:98560)
