Mutation details: A single loxP site was left in place of exon 1 after the insertion and subsequent removal of a floxed neo cassette by homologous recombination and in vitro cre mediated excision. The deleted region encoded the start codon as well as the PP1 and glycogen-binding domains. Western blot analysis of homozygous mutant skeletal muscle indicated an absence of protein. (J:82422)
