Mutation details: The insertion of a neomycin selection cassette disrupted the endogenous allele by replacing exon 2 and surrounding intronic sequence. The deleted exon contained the start codon, encoded 45 residues of the Pleckstrin homology domain, and is common to the 4 known isoforms. Western blot analysis showed an absence of full length and truncated protein. (J:66080)
