Transgene description |
|
Transgene
Type: | |
Transgenic (random, expressed) |
|
Mutation: | |
Insertion |
| |
|
Mutation details: The transgene consists of a mouse metallothionein 1 promoter, the entire mouse hepatocyte growth factor cDNA sequence, a human growth hormone polyadenylation site, and mouse Mt1 5' and 3' flanking regions. Northern blot analysis showed transgene expression in all adult transgenic tissues examined. ELIZA assay showed overexpression of transgene product in urine and serum samples. (J:34022)

Notes |
Nine founders carrying between 7-27 copies of the transgene were created. Transgenic animals over-expressed the transgene 3-fold to 50-fold. The line 18 transgene, Tg(Mt-HGFSF)18Lmb, is also called MT-HGF/SF.
