Mutation details: A human Il6st cDNA fragment carrying a tyrosine to phenylalanine substitution at position 759 (Y759F), was used to replaced the corresponding region of the mouse gene. A downstream neomycin resistance cassette was also inserted for positive selection. The expression level of the mutant protein in B- and T-cells is similar to that of wild-type as determined by flow cytometry. (J:59922)
