Mutation details: Exon 1 alpha, specific to the p16Ink4a alternative splice product, was replaced by a floxed neo cassette. Cre mediated recombination removed the floxed neo cassette. The absence of the p16Ink4a and the presence of p19ARF was confirmed by Western blot analysis of extracts from homozygous mutant mouse embryonic fibroblasts. (J:71394)
