Mutation details: This allele was generated by excising the floxed neo cassette from Cdkn2atm1Brn by breeding with transgenic mice expressing cre. The presence of a stop codon at position 101 of the p16Ink4a open reading frame precluded the translation of the fourth ankyrin motif of p16Ink4a. While p16Ink4a was undetected by Western blot analysis or immunoprecipitation, the expression of p19ARF was unaffected in homozygous mutant mice. (J:71393)
